This is the dike near the Wadden Sea. The sign explains that it is a private road, accessable by walkers and bikers on their own risk. Dogs are not allowed, not even when they are on a leash. This is because the sheep walk around freely on the dike, and dogs tend to scare them as well as other wild animals that might be present.
